DIG Deeper: Kickoff

  • Zoom (see description for Source link) (map)

As a young organization, DIG has an opportunity and recognized responsibility to shape a culture based on a foundation honoring diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). With funding from The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP), we are able to engage experts and representatives in conversations surrounding a wide array of topics that will foster an inclusive environment for residents of the Greater Susquehanna Valley region.

DIG Deeper is a 12-month series of workshops open to active DIG staff, volunteers, and committed monthly financial donors.

About this event:

Join us for an overview of our goals for this new-to-us project, what it’ll look like in the months to come, and what you would like to see and talk about this year.

In preparation for the kickoff, we encourage you to take at least 2 of the free online Implicit Bias tests offered by Harvard University, here: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html. Your results will not be shared beyond Harvard's research disclaimer on the first page, nor will we ask you to share your results during our group discussion (though remarks and thoughts will be welcomed!).

Creating an environment that welcomes and celebrates diversity is incredibly important to DIG. While some of the topics may challenge you personally, it is our intention to create a safe and respectful place for community, understanding, and learning.

We hope to 'see' you virtually on the 24th!
