DIG is not open to the public. All households seeking furniture and household assistance must be referred to us by an approved Referral Agency.

If you are actively working with an agency, please ask your contact for a referral to DIG Furniture Bank. If you are not working with an agency, you can view our list of approved Referral Agencies to get connected.

what to expect

1. submit referral

DIG cannot provide service unless we receive a referral for you and/or your household from an approved Referral Agency. If you are in need of furniture or household items, please ask your caseworker about a referral to DIG. If you are not actively working with a caseworker, please seek assistance through one of our 40+ Referral Agencies.

NOTE: Referral Agencies will only provide a referral to DIG if you have a plan to work with them on other services they provide. Please ask about what other resources may benefit you! DIG cannot guarantee another organization’s ability to submit a referral for you.

2. wait for DIG

Once your referral is submitted by a Referral Agency, a member from the DIG team will call you to confirm your information. This can take up to a week depending on staff and volunteer availability. Please be patient as we work through our waitlist.

DIG will attempt to confirm your referral two times. If we don’t get ahold of you by the second attempt, your name will be removed from our waitlist and you will not be eligible for another referral. (TIP: Save our number, 570-658-9880, into your phone so you don’t miss our call!)

3. receive your furniture

We will provide as many items as we have in our inventory at the time of your scheduled delivery or pick up. Please be prepared with help lifting, moving, and bringing your furniture inside.

NOTE: DIG cannot guarantee to fulfill your entire request. We operate on donations we receive from the community, so our inventory isn’t always consistent. We are committed to meeting as many needs as possible.

Want to browse our selection with a trained Personal Shopper volunteer? Opt in to shop with us! You can bring up to two additional helpers to walk through our inventory and select items for your home. Quantity limitations and other details will be communicated by your Personal Shopper.

Unable to make the trip in to Milton? Don’t worry! Our trained Personal Shopper volunteers will make this process simple for you by picking items out based on your taste, favorite colors, and more!

 FAQs

  • DIG is currently operating on a significant waitlist. Upon confirmation of your referral we will provide our best estimate of how long to expect to wait. It typically ranges from 2-6 weeks from referral.

    NOTE: If you are able to arrange pick up using your own, rented, or borrowed vehicle, your wait time will likely decrease. Please communicate this to your caseworker during your referral time.

  • If your situation changes in that you no longer need items from DIG, please contact us immediately at (570) 658-9880 so that we can remove your name from our list.

  • Wondering what types of items DIG can provide? Take a look at our donation guide to see what we do and do not accept from the community. However, we are not able to guarantee that all items will be available at the time of receiving furniture from us.

  • Due to the high amount of need, we are not able to provide assistance to the same family/household more than one time.

  • Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee what items will be available at the time you receive furniture. All furniture and household goods are donated by the community, so inventory fluctuates regularly. If we don’t have something you are looking for, we will try our best to find an alternative solution with you!

  • Yes! Make sure to let your caseworker know that you are interested in our in-person shopping option.

    Don’t have transportation or time to come over and select your items in our showroom in Milton? No problem! We will have a volunteer shop for you based on the information we receive in your referral!
