fresh stART:
DIG’s annual fundraiser

we all deserve a fresh start.

There is something beautiful about turning a worn down, tired piece of furniture into a priceless piece of art, giving it a second chance at a new life. It’s the perfect symbolism behind the restoration that providing furniture and household items can do to a family who has been through the unthinkable.

Fresh StART is an opportunity to have a piece of DIG in your own home to serve as a reminder of the life changing work that happens through second chances and a community of support. Together, we can instill dignity through household goods.

TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE!

DIG's biggest fundraiser of the year, Fresh StART, will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at DIG in downtown Milton. This year, we’ll be featuring a selection of newly upcycled furniture items by local community members in a new LIVE auction format! We’ll also be organizing a locally-based silent auction, live music, food, drinks, and more ways to have fun while supporting (and getting to experience first-hand!) your local furniture bank!

DIG continues to grow QUICKLY and all funds raised this year will go towards our more staff capacity and impactful program operations. Our success relies on the support of our community.

GET INVOLVED!

sponsor the event!

Are you a local business looking to get involved in a community-focused mission? Consider sponsoring Fresh StART 2024 for an opportunity to promote your brand on our platforms, attend the event, and get connected with our larger supporter base.

upcycle a piece of furniture!

Our upcycled furniture auction has become a flagship element of our annual fundraising event! Individuals volunteer to upcycle a piece of worn furniture into a unique piece of art using their own vision, skills, and creativity. If this sounds like a project for you, click below to learn more!

donate to the silent auction!

With our upcycled furniture now being featured in a live auction format, we’re bringing in a more traditional silent auction to feature our favorite local businesses, treats, and experiences! If you’d like to donate an item towards our silent auction, please contact Emily at emily@digfb.org or by clicking the button below.

participate in our children’s CHAIRity project!

DIG’s Children’s CHAIRity Project is intended to engage youth under 18 years old in STEAM skill building as well as opening up an opportunity for empathetic conversation among their peers. DIG “challenges” groups that work with youth to design a child-sized chair that will be gifted to a child that shops with DIG with their family. DIG asks members of the community to sponsor each chair with a $150 cash donation that will go back towards DIG’s work in the community.

P.S. We’re always looking for more volunteers to help us with the event! Whether you live for asking for silent auction donations, setting up a venue, love organizing logistics, or anything in between, we’d love to hear from you! Email emily@digfb.org to learn more about our volunteer needs for this year’s event.
